Two membership types
Legionnaire is the lower, participation-based rate. App stamina falls by one day each day; approved PRs and staff-awarded participation bonuses refill it. If it is depleted when you renew, the Mercenary rate applies.
Mercenary is the higher, no-obligation rate. Follow the gym rules, train independently, and nobody will bother you.
Lower rate · proof of effort
For members who want their training to count—and want the app to keep them accountable.
Requirements
Higher rate · no obligations
For members who want complete independence without PR, event, community, or stamina requirements.
Requirements
STRICTLY: Paid in full. Non-pausable. Non-refundable. Non-transferable.
You must make an appointment. No appointment? You may have to wait or come back later.
Your gym, in your pocket
Membership, check-ins, streaks, ranks, achievements, PRs, event scores, and every workout stay together—so every visit leaves a visible mark and the next goal is always easy to find.
Log reps, load, RPE, skipped sets, and notes while you train—not hours later from memory.
Clone a previous workout, adjust the plan, and get straight into the session without rebuilding it.
Search completed workouts and see exactly what you did last time before choosing today’s target.
Your training log lives beside check-ins, PRs, ranks, and achievements—one record of the work you put in.
Inside the app

Membership, streaks, ranks, achievements, and check-in.

Your training days and membership status at a glance.

Proof becomes points. Points become a position.

Compare approved PRs across movements and risk categories.

Log every set, reuse sessions, and make the next workout better.

Small wins, long streaks, and serious milestones.
Proof of effort
If you choose Legionnaire membership, you are expected to show proof of effort. That does not mean walking in as the strongest person in the room. It means giving yourself something real to beat.
The app makes it simple and genuinely fun: perform a listed movement, film the attempt, submit it, and let the board update after review. Every approved PR gives your work a place in your history—and gives you a reason to come back stronger.
Now you are not just going to the gym. You are training toward the next version of yourself.Earn the Legionnaire rate

Free training for everyone. No membership or day pass required. Come train, try the equipment, and see what LEGION IX is about.
Normal gym rules apply.
Member challenge events

Imagine the whole gym divided at random into two teams: Red Lions and Blue Eagles. For the duration of the event, every session matters. Teams race to collect points through frequent training, approved PRs, social posts, special challenges, and whatever else that event demands.
The winners get glory and a chance to win prizes. The losers get a fitness penalty (yes, sometimes it’s literally push-ups). Nobody watches from the sidelines, and suddenly an ordinary Tuesday workout can move an entire team.
That is one kind of event that happens at LEGION IX. Formats, scoring, rewards, and punishments change—but the point stays the same: show up, contribute, and make training memorable.
More training means more chances to move your team.
Turn individual progress into points for the faction.
Challenges reward participation, not just elite strength.
Social posts and team spirit can count too.
Founder
I’ve been training for 25 years and competing in powerlifting for 15.
Over the years I’ve won multiple national titles in Lithuania and Vietnam, earned bronze at the European Junior Championships, and competed both equipped and raw. I currently hold Vietnam’s Masters U83 national records in the squat, bench press, deadlift and total: 225 / 162.5 / 301 kg — 688.5 kg total. Close enough to 700 that it still annoys me.

After spending most of my life in gyms, I became increasingly frustrated with what commercial gyms had become.
Too much equipment chosen because it looks good in a sales brochure rather than because it is good to train on. Not enough racks, platforms or proper bars. Rules nobody enforces. Members treated as recurring payments rather than people who are actually expected to train. And increasingly, gyms designed around attracting as many people as possible while asking as little as possible from them.
I wanted something different.
So I built the gym I would want to train in myself.
LEGION IX is heavily equipped because I like having the right tool for the job. We have powerlifting, bodybuilding, Olympic lifting and strongman equipment because strength training does not begin and end with one style of training.
We have strict rules because a good training environment does not maintain itself.
We have PRs, rankings, challenges and events because I think a gym should give you reasons to improve, not just somewhere to swipe in.
And we expect members to actually train because that is ultimately what this place is for.
LEGION IX was never meant to be a gym for everyone.
It was built for people who enjoy training, care about getting stronger, and appreciate being surrounded by others who do the same.
If that sounds like you, you’ll probably fit in just fine.
The complete Iron Law
These laws protect the space, the equipment, and the people training beside you. Read them before you join.
Clean indoor shoes, fresh athletic gear, and deodorant aren’t optional. We’re building iron bodies, not biohazards.
Keep your stuff glued to you. We’re not running a daycare for forgotten gym bags. Constant vigilance is your job.
Lockers are for your workout, not your life storage. If we wanted a storage facility, we’d open one. Don’t be that guy.
Sweat, chalk dust, and other fluids are not badges of honor. Mop your puddles, brush your bar, wipe your bench, and bin the towel. Act like you weren’t raised in a barn.
Use the biggest plates you can for the load. A stack of small plates when a big one is available is pure laziness. Don’t be lazy.
Every plate, dumbbell, and bar has its designated spot. Return it. The floor is not a designated spot, and we’re not your maids.
The squat rack is for squats; the bench is for benching. Mind-blowing, we know. Don’t curl in the squat rack. Congratulations, you’ve become a gym meme.
If there’s weight on it, someone’s using it. Politely ask to work in. Otherwise, assume you’re about to interrupt someone’s PR attempt at your own risk.
Spot something busted? Tell the staff. We’re not mind readers, and we prefer functional equipment over ER visits. Seriously.
Controlled deadlift drops? Sure. Anything else sound like a house imploding? You’re doing it wrong. Weights are for lifting, not for testing the building’s structural integrity.
Take turns. Rest is important, but so is common courtesy. And yes, asking “Can I work in?” is still a thing. Embrace politeness; it won’t kill your gains.
Supersets are a tool, not a license to colonize the gym floor. Don’t build your own private theme park during peak hours. This is a shared training ground.
Use safeties and spot your comrades. Yell if you’re actually dying. We’re not babysitters, but we prefer you leave in one piece.
This is a sanctuary for strength, not a stage for drama. Respect the lift, respect the lifter. This includes federation politics and team rivalries. LEGION IX is neutral ground.
Think first, lift second. Not sure? Ask. We’d rather answer a dumb question than clean up a dumb mistake.
If you ain’t lifting, you’re loitering. Use it or lose it—and maybe your spot in LEGION IX.
Supplements, gear, PT—keep it to yourself. We’re here to lift, not listen to your sales routine.
Personal trainers? Talk to us first. Unauthorized coaching? Enjoy your sudden abundance of free time, courtesy of membership cancellation.
Quick lift videos are fine, but leave the TikTok dances and streams for elsewhere. Focus on your workout, and keep it solo. Nobody wants to be your accidental co-star.
Gym hours are gym hours. We also enjoy having a life outside these walls. Stick to the schedule.
Membership dues are due when they’re due. This isn’t a community center; it’s a business. Show us the money or show yourself the door. And don’t forget to scan your entry pass.
Failure to observe these laws will result in disciplinary action in the form of fines, fitness penalties, or membership suspension or termination. Consider this your only warning.
LEGION IX FAQ
A few straight answers about how LEGION IX works, why the standards matter, and what to expect when you step onto the floor.
Broken window theory. Visible signs of lowered standards or ignored rules create an environment that breeds more of the same.
If we let poor gym floor behavior slide, that attitude quickly spreads. A compromised standard inevitably turns into un-racked weights, disrespected equipment, and a deteriorating training environment.
LEGION IX operates on strict etiquette. We enforce the rules to guarantee the standard remains absolute where it actually matters: on the floor. We do not do exceptions. The standard is the standard.
For the general public, the policy is a hard no. We do not sell day passes to walk-ins, tourists, or friends. Do not bring your friends to the gym and expect them to get a day pass.
Internally, there are exactly two exceptions. These are handled on a strict case-by-case basis:
In both approved cases, the day pass fee is 150k VND. Do not bring unapproved guests and expect the front desk to bend the rules.
Want to train here without a membership? Open Door Day is held on the last Sunday of every month and is free for everyone. See the next date.
Because it disrupts the training floor. Filming your quick lifts is fine. Livestreaming, dancing, or talking into the camera is a problem.
We are slightly more relaxed about this on Sundays when the gym is less busy, but livestreams remain permanently banned. Do your work and get out of the way.
Money. If the gym is near empty or it is not that hot, we will not blast all the ACs for you alone.
You are in Vietnam. Get used to the heat.
We do not have them. LEGION IX is a strength facility.
We do not waste floor space on commercial distractions. If you want to jog, go outside.
You get a warning. Then a fitness penalty. If that doesn’t help, you are out and your membership is terminated with no refund.
This applies to all facility etiquette, including re-racking your weights. We are not your maids. If you are strong enough to load the bar, you are strong enough to strip it.
If you have to ask…
Because this is a working strength facility, not a supervised play area. Heavy bars, moving plates, loaded machines, carries, and lifters focused on their attempts make the training floor far too dangerous for children.
It only takes one distracted second. For their safety—and everyone else’s—children are not allowed inside.
